Nina Rubinstein Alonso founded Fresh Pond Ballet in 1987 to teach classical ballet, with the goal of bringing grace, joy, strength and confidence to each child in a non-competitive environment.

Originally located in West Cambridge, Fresh Pond Ballet moved to Mass Ave. in Porter Square in 1994. For 26 years, our Porter Square location served as our home, providing us a convent location and outfitted with specially built sprung floor.

In spring 2020, due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, Fresh Pond Ballet left our Mass Ave location and returned to West Cambridge, where we now teach hybrid, in-person, private and semi private lessons.
